December 2006

On Monday, December 4, Dandy Dave McDonald and Aggrandizing Gregory Russell braved the unseasonally warm weather to met at Heroes Aren't Hard to Find. Other members of the group may have arrived later, but our two cavorting cartoonists were too hungry to wait.

They had lunch at Showmar's, a dining establishment some of you (especially you, Shelton) may have heard of before. Greg brought a preview edition of Rob Slee's "Midas Managers," for which he designed the cover and drew several one-panel cartoons.

Greg was the hand model on the cover of the book, and his daughter Yael took the photo. Check it out if you need advice on how to run your global business and like dry, dry, DRY banker humor.

On his laptop, he also showed off a book layout he was finishing up. It was titled "Brewing an Outrageous Brand" by Lon LaFlamme and David J. Morris.

Dave talked about his concept for one of the two television specials he is going to develop for public television next year. Dynamic Dave also has plans to produce a series of books for the local school system. The coming year will be a busy one for the Creative Cranium. Check out his new Web site complete with his portfolio!

Stay tuned for news on the January meeting.
